Academia is proud to present its inter-cultural workshop in August for learners of the English Language. The aim of this workshop was to promote communication effectively and in a fun environment. It is an workshop where our foreign faculty gives us valuable insights on basics of communication and shares experiences to students.

Our Cultural and interactive Session was with our international guest teacher from Spain in Europe!

Mr. Jose is from Europe and an aspiring ambassador having completed his Masters in International Relations. He has travelled and lived in 12 countries including New York, Paris, Rome to name a few. We were pleased to welcome him to share his insights with our learners at Academia English.

He talks about the cultures and tradition of Spain with our students in this session. He talks about the Tomatina festival and other gatherings which are exclusive to Spain. Our students gave Mr. Jose a good feedback and information on our Indian traditions and cultures.

Our guest teacher also talks about the famous Bullfighting in Spain also known as corrida de toros (literally a “running of the bulls”). It is a tradition which has been carried on for a thousand years. The people are now opposing this tradition because of Animal rights. Many bulls are harmed and some die during this fight as this tradition is fatal for the bull and also dangerous to the matardor.

Students then share their insights on this topic and talk about India’s festivals and customs. We even have a interaction discussing on the local cuisine of our country. Mr. Jose also tells us about the famous Spanish Omlette (made with potatoes and egg).
